Knight Owl

This is just the sweetest book! I mean, who wouldn’t want to read a story about a tiny owl in armor? Knight Owl definitely gave me that new book excitement as I read it. My kiddos also thoroughly enjoyed this story and the lovely illustrations. We especially loved how creative, kind, and brave the little owl was!

Knight Owl, by Christopher Denise, is about a little owl who always dreamt of becoming a knight. When the owl gets accepted to knight school, he is overjoyed to help protect the castle, especially since other knights have recently gone missing. Late one night during his watch, the owl comes face to face with a terrifying intruder. Throughout the rest of the story, the owl proves that while he may not be the biggest or strongest knight, he makes up for it in cleverness, optimism, and heart.

• How would you feel if you met a dragon? What would you do?
