A Tale of Two Beasts

I absolutely love this story for so many reasons! This wonderful book helps children learn about different perspectives. There are two sides to this story- the first is from the perspective of a little girl who finds and takes home a strange beast, thinking she is saving it. The second part is from the perspective of the beast, who feels he was kidnapped by the girl. This story can open up a wonderful dialogue between you and your child about making friends and empathy.

Discussion Questions:

  • How does the girl in the story feel?
  • How does the beast in the story feel?
  • How are both sides the same? How are they different?
  • Do you think the girl and beast understand each other at the end of the story?

This story really does an amazing job of showing that there are two sides to a story. I hope you will check out, A Tale of Two Beasts!

For an added bonus, this story is read aloud by Sarah Silverman! Link below ⬇️
