The Magic Tree House

I have read this book many, many times, to every class I‘ve taught. It is such a FUN read aloud and every single kid is always engaged and listening. Their imaginations running on overdrive. They always want to hear more! I’m now reading it to my five year old and he LOVES it!

The Magic Tree House series (YES, series! There are over 50 books!) is about Jack and Annie, who find a tree house full of books. These books can transport them through time and space, into the setting of the story. In this first book- you guessed it- Jack and Annie are taken to the land of dinosaurs!

• Where do you think the tree house came from?
• Do you think Jack and Annie were feeling scared when they saw REAL dinosaurs? How would you have felt?
• If you could open a book and go anywhere, where would you go? Why?
